The Collie Eagles shook off a first-half challenge from Donnybrook to claim a 30-point win at the Collie Recreation Ground today.

Relentless pressure from the Eagles’ allowed them to grab the 9.16 (70) to 5.10 (40) victory over their fellow final contenders.

Jayce Fontana kicked three goals for the home side, as did Donnybrook’s Jacob Green, but the star of the day was Eagles’ midfielder Travis Cleggett, who put in yet another best on ground performance.

A last quarter fight back from the Harvey Bulls gave them a nine-point win over the Eaton Boomers at the Harvey Recreation Ground.

The home side trailed by 15 points going into the last quarter, but held their opposition scoreless to win 9.7 (61) to 7.10 (52).

Busselton claimed their first win of the season when they defeated Carey Park by 13 points at Kelly Park yesterday.

Panthers forward Eli Hill was the star with six goals, but it was not enough to stop a rampaging Magpies who won 13.9 (87) to 11.8 (74).

Harvey-Brunswick-Leschenault have continued their solid first half of the season, defeating Augusta-Margaret River by 27 points at Gloucester Park last night.

The Lions led by 38 points at half-time, but the resilient Hawks fought back to make it a respectable 13.7 (85) to 8.10 (58).
