The Moorabinda Croquet Club hosted a successful “Come and Try Day” on October 5, with more than 70 people participating across all greens.

Club secretary John Jury believed the concept was an ideal way to introduce the sport and give people an opportunity to see if they enjoyed it.

“We have 46 members at the moment however we are always looking for new people to join the club,” he said.

The club will be a hive of activity over the remainder of the year, with several major tournaments being held at the venue.

Club members Dawn Robertson and David Squire were recognised recently at the 2019 Croquetwest presentation day in Perth.

The duo were presented with the State association croquet division two championship trophy from City of Vincent mayor Emma Cole, while Squire also collected the State and South West AC singles division two trophies.
