Advocacy WA to hold free advice sessions in Harvey, Bridgetown and Collie this month

Community members across three towns in the South West are being invited to get free advice with matters related to having a disability this month. Advocacy WA will visit Harvey, Bridgetown and Collie, holding outreach days in each of the locations. Bridgetown will be the first town to be visited, with the organisation to be at the Community Kiosk on Hampton Street between 10.30am and 2.30pm on April 18. Disability advocate Rhoda Murerwa will head to Harvey the next day to hold a session outside Inclusion Solutions on Uduc Road from 1.30pm to 3.30pm. She will also be holding a free workshop earlier in the day between 10am and 12pm at the Harvey Community Resource Centre about accessing the disability support pension, including eligibility criteria, the evidence required in an application and the appeals process. The final free advice session will be held in Collie on April 26 outside South West Plan Managers on Harvey Street between 1.30pm and 3.30pm. No appointments are necessary for the sessions, with the organisation able to answer questions and advocate for social change and service improvement in areas including accommodation, employment and financial security, education and training, transport and access to specialist health services.
