New and used fashionable clothing will be paraded through the Dolphin Discovery Centre aquarium for the South West Masonic Ladies fundraising event, Vinnes Posh Op Shop Fashion Parade, on November 9.

Event coordinator Bridget Green said the event was about having fun and raising money for a good cause while bringing the community together.

“This is the annual grandmaster ladies Freemason charity event and this year we have chosen to put the money raised towards Canteen,” Mrs Green said.

“I try and collaborate with other community groups in the South West so that we win, the community group wins, but more importantly it’s about involving the community.

“I knew going to see Marie at Vinnies that we would get local ladies, local people and they will support it.”

Mrs Green said more than 200 people were expected to attend the event.

“People who come along will also get to enjoy a beautiful afternoon tea and it is all a lot of fun.”

Bunbury Vinnies on Arthur store retail manager Marie Vanbruchen said she was excited to see all the girls dressed up.

“Bridget came to Vinnies to ask to do a fashion show in conjunction with the other two stores in Bunbury,” Mrs Vanbruchen said.

“Personally I love the fashion, I love to get all of the girls dressed up and it is just great – the volunteers go over and above what they do in our stores.

“All of the clothes the girls will be wearing on the day will be for sale.”

Mrs Green said anyone interested in buying tickets for the Posh Op Shop Fashion Parade could visit any of the three Vinnies stores across Bunbury including Bunbury Depot, Vinnies on Arthur and the Eaton retail store.
