Associates must beat ladder leaders to stay in finals race
Women’s hockey returns to the region this weekend when the regular South West Hockey League fixtures resume.
After a two-week break, the women’s competition returns tomorrow night when Marist battle the win-less Capel at the Bunbury Hockey Stadium from 6.30pm.
Ladder leaders Boyanup will then take on Associates at 8pm, with the latter hoping to keep their slim finals hopes alive with a victory.
The match of the weekend takes place on Saturday when finals contenders Collie and Robins meet in Busselton from 3pm.
Round 12 finishes later that afternoon when TownsSouth take on Exies from 4.45pm at the Bunbury Hockey Stadium. In the men’s competition, Boyanup will take on Associates tomorrow night under lights at the Bunbury Hockey Stadium.
This will be followed by the heavyweight clash between Marist and premiership favourites Wests, in what is expected to be the game of the weekend.
The round is capped off on Saturday when TownsSouth battle the lowly Exies in Bunbury from 6.15pm.
