Endgame has been showing for only eight days and it has already become the biggest and most successful movie in history, making $1.7 billion in its opening weekend.

The wrap up of 21 previous Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, there is no way that Marvel and Disney could afford to mess this up.

People have literally been beaten in the street for spoiling the plot, so fortunately, this review will have none.

Everything about this action blockbuster is epic.

Epic budget, epic cast, epic run-time, epic graphics, epic action sequences... it is all just spectacular.

Following on from Infinity War, Thanos has wiped out half of all life in the universe, Tony Stark is adrift in space and the remaining Avengers are hatching a plan, unable to live with Thanos’ success.

With so much at stake and after such a loss, all of the actors give brilliant performances and show their depth, going from cool, calm and collected super heroes to sobbing messes.

The best performance easily goes to Chris Hemsworth, whose portrayal of Thor is just downright hilarious, continuing the trend he set in Ragnarok as a comedic relief.

There were tears of sorrow, joy and misery from my fellow audience members with some genuinely heart wrenching as well as warming scenes.

Endgame has it all... action, emotion, humour, high stakes, romance, the lot.

There is just one tiny little niggle... its length.

This is a 181-minute film – three hours and one minute in length.

In the cinema watching it for the first time this was no issue, but I think once it is out on DVD and people are watching it at home, not for the first time, the duration could drag a little.

Do yourself a favour and get down to the cinemas and see this movie.

As an action blockbuster it is pretty much perfect... just be sure to go to the toilet beforehand.
