Bulls, Tornadoes record strong wins

Courtney Bayliss nailed four three-pointers for the Bulls in their 88-53 victory over Aces White in the women’s Bunbury Basketball Association games on Friday night.

Bayliss scored 19 points in the 35-point victory, with teammates Georgia Denehey (17 points) and Bec Preston (11 points) chipping in. Tiahna Sears (29 points) and Shannon Verhagen (10 points) were White’s best in the tough defeat.

The first-placed Tornadoes defeated the winless Busselton 76-48 with Tayah Burrows scoring a game-high 20 points.

Cian Parsons (16 points) and Ebony Bilcich (14 points) were also among Tornadoes’ best.

Clair Colgate (13 points), Mia Grantham and Felicity Jones (12 points each) were Busselton’s highest scorers in the loss.

Busselton will host Aces Navy at the Geographe Leisure Centre on Friday night, while Bulls will battle Tornadoes at the South West Sports Centre.
