Bunbury could clean up at the Keep Australia Beautiful Tidy Towns Sustainable Communities awards after the city was named a finalist.

The city has been nominated for the overall award alongside Albany, Esperance, Greenbushes, Kalgoorlie-Boulder, and Port and South Hedland.

It has also been considered a finalist in categories of Litter Prevention and Waste Management, General Appearance, Youth Legends and Environmental Sustainability.

The winners will be announced at the Tidy Town Sustainable Communities Awards in Perth on October 25.
