A number of Bunbury footballers were part of Swan Districts’ three grand final victories in the WA Women’s Football League at Medibank Stadium on Sunday.

Swan Districts won back-to-back premierships in the league, while also claiming victories in the reserves and Rogers Cup competitions.

Maddison Ugle, Courtney Ugle and Chloe Piparo all played in the Swans’ league grand final victory over Coastal Titans, 6.8 (44) to 2.3 (15).

Hannah Merrett and Nadia Naaman were part of the reserves team from Swan Districts which defeated South Fremantle 3.8 (26) to 2.3 (15).

Coach Nicole Graves said the Bunbury footbalers all played well during the games.

“Nadia was strong in defence, while Hannah was great on the wing,” she said.

“The Ugle girls both played well in the midfield.

“Chloe played well at half forward.”
