Bunbury to host BMX champs

South Western Times

Dual Olympian Lauren Reynolds will have the opportunity to showcase her skills on her home track next year when the Bunbury BMX Club hosts the 2018 national championships.

To be held from March 20 to 25, more than 2000 interstate competitors and supporters are expected to be in the region in what will be a significant boost for the economy.

Bunbury City Council has contributed $30,000 towards the event.

Reynolds said Bunbury would be a welcoming venue for such a prestigious event.

“Bringing the BMXA Nationals to Bunbury is wonderful news for BMX riders from all over Australia,” she said.
