Bunbury Walk to D’Feet MND successful for second year
More than $8000 was raised to support South West patients and their families in the second annual Bunbury Walk to D’Feet MND on Sunday.
Numbers doubled last year’s inaugural event as 150 people took part.
MND WA fundraising and events manager Sarah Wiley said she was impressed with the turnout.
“I received plenty of feedback about how amazing the camaraderie was and that it was a great event for children,” she said.
The money raised will go towards helping those in the region living with the incurable disease.
“It will support everyone living in the South West with MND,” Ms Wiley said.
“The money will also help us to find some bereavement services in the South West.”
Small additions were made to build on the success of the inaugural event and aid in raising money.
“It was just the addition of a sausage sizzle this year, but as the event grows the more we will be able to put on,” Ms Wiley said.
“We would love to have some entertainment next year.”
