Bunbury workshop for plastic waste ideas
Bunbury will host a workshop to help guide the State Government’s next steps in its fight against plastic waste.
The Department of Water and Environmental Regulation will hold the workshop at the City of Bunbury Function Room from 6pm to 8pm on Thursday.
Environment Minister Stephen Dawson said the Government was keen to hear the community’s ideas on changing its behaviour to reduce single-use plastics and packaging.
“I encourage Western Australians concerned about the environmental impacts of plastic to attend the workshops and help us with practical ways to avoid single-use plastics and reduce plastic waste,” Mr Dawson said.
“Single-use plastic products and packaging are commonly littered and have harmful impacts on our environment and wildlife.
“There are lots of ways we can avoid or minimise our use of plastics.”
