Aaron Bazeley’s five-year-old Burger Time recorded a stirring victory in this afternoon’s $120,000 XXXX Gold Bunbury Cup (2000m) at the Bunbury Turf Club.

After engaging in an absorbing tussle for the lead with 200m to travel, rider Clint Johnston-Porter loosened the reins as the gelding swept all before him in the closing stages – finishing 0.8 lengths clear of He’s A Parker.

Post-race, Bazeley said he believed the five-year-old was “coming of age” and commended Johnston-Porter on his efforts in the saddle.
