Child struck by car outside school

A child has been taken to hospital after being struck by a car outside Newton Moore Senior High School this morning.
Police and paramedics rushed to Hotchin Street about 8.40am following reports a boy had run out in front of a car.

It occurred as students were making their way to school and there were a number of parents in the area for school drop offs.
The teenager, who police say is under 16, was taken to Bunbury Hospital, but the extent of his injuries are not yet known.

More as it comes to hand.
