Child struck by car outside school

A child was taken to hospital after being struck by a car outside Newton Moore Senior High School on Friday morning.
Police and paramedics rushed to Hotchin Street about 8.40am following reports a boy had run out in front of a car.

It occurred as students were making their way to school and there were a number of parents in the area for school drop-offs.
The 12-year-old boy was taken to Bunbury Hospital but was discharged over the weekend.
Police are investigating.
