City and art gallery welcome Times as event major sponsor
The City of Bunbury and Bunbury Regional Art Gallery have welcomed the South Western Times as a major sponsor for the South Western Times Art 2020 exhibition.
Previously known as South West Art Now and The Survey – the exhibition will feature art from South West visual artists and will be on show from February 14 next year.
The South Western Times has previously sponsored the event and both the City and BRAG are excited to have the media outlet on board once more.
This exhibition is a biennial survey of the best new work by established and emerging artists from the South West.
BRAG is calling for expressions of interest from artists who would like to be considered for inclusion in the exclusive exhibition.
BRAG director Joanne Baitz said she was ecstatic to have the South Western Times as the major sponsor for the exhibition.
“This agreement will help the exhibition grow and allow for wider promotion of the event,” Dr Baitz said.
“We are thrilled they are back on board ... and we look forward to working closely with the team to maximise our exposure.
“Next year’s theme is 2020 and I encourage all emerging artists to submit their application as it will present a fantastic opportunity for them to have their work seen.
“The year 2020 is a moment in which we can assess the past and consider issues affecting us, and the region, in the future.”
Artists’ entries close on September 27 with successful applicants being notified on October 14.
Submissions can be made here.
The exhibition awards night will be held on February 14 and will include a community street party.
