Bunbury Mayor Gary Brennan and chief executive Mal Osborne will meet with the State Government on Monday over concerns on the proposed Bunbury Outer Ring Road.
During Bunbury City Council’s meeting this week Cr Monique Warnock questioned “what position” they would be taking.
Mr Brennan responded that there was “general harmony” among the council that the design revealed for the Forrest Highway intersection was not in the best interest of the city.
“So the position we’ll be taking on Monday is that we do want Forrest Highway into the city to be the dominant road into our city, we don’t want it to be an off-shoot of the outer ring road,” he said.
