Clean water

Nicole SalmeriSouth Western Times

Bunbury waterways will be that little bit cleaner thanks to the installation of the South West’s first Seabin this week.

A concept developed by avid surfers and water lovers Andrew Turton and Pete Ceglinski, the Seabin is designed to collect trash, oil, fuel and detergents.

Keep Australia Beautiful provided funding support for the Seabin to be installed at the Leschenault Inlet.

Twelve Western Australian community groups received more than $48,000 in funding support as part of the scheme.
