Club tickled pink for Floyd tribute

Tribute band Echoes of Pink Floydhas added some Bunbury flavour to its November 10 concert at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre after inviting the Bunbury Repertory Club’s Theatrix youth drama club to join them on stage.

The club, made up of 12-to-16-year-olds, has been rehearsing for weeks in preparation for its time in the spotlight. Theatrix co-director Charise D’Ath said she was thrilled when the club received the invitation.

“They contacted the club and asked if we would be interested in performing with them for Another Brick in the Wall,” she said.

“It’s a cult classic – we are all looking forward to it and it has been a lot of fun.”

Mrs D’Ath said it was a great opportunity and a whole new experience for the performers.

“Some members have performed on the BREC stage before, but as Theatrix, we haven’t been on the BREC stage,” she said.

“Our theatre is quite a small theatre, so the most we have ever had is 100 – so this is going to be a whole new experience.”

Tickets are available at the BREC box office.
