Collie shows its strength in goal fest

It was goals galore at the weekend in the South West Hockey League women’s competition.

The biggest winners of the weekend was Collie who smashed Exies 9-0 thanks to a hat-trick from Alyssa Davidson.

Danni MacIntyre scored two goals for the home side, while Casey Jones, Emily Antonovich, Tayla Kirk and Megan Crowe all slotted one.

Boyanup also had a solid win, defeating Capel 4-1 in a dominant performance.

Meg Read scored two goals for the All Blacks to go alongside singles to Anita Scott and Hayley Hill in their three-goal victory.

Capel’s only goal for the round came from Montanna Barnsby, who made sure Boyanup did not keep a clean sheet.

Rounding out the big weekend of wins was Robins, who defeated Marist 4-0 thanks to an excellent performance from Dee Garstone, who scored two goals.

TownsSouth kept themselves within touch of the top teams after a 2-0 victory over Associates.

Rebecca Campbell and Emma Barrett shared the goals for TownsSouth, who are now on level points with Marist, Associates and Robins on the SWHL ladder.
