A 47-year-old Collie woman has been charged with manufacturing illicit drugs following an alleged tip-off to police.

Police conducted a search at an address in Collie on September 14, where officers allegedly located a number of items that were consistent with the manufacturing of prohibited drugs, specifically DMT.

Drug and firearm squad officers were then called to Collie, along with specialist personnel from ChemCentre to help with the investigation.

The woman was charged with one count of manufacture a prohibited drug and one count of possessing prohibited drugs with intent to sell or supply and is next due to appear in Collie Magistrate’s Court on October 26.

In a statement posted to social media, Collie police said the investigation was a result of information supplied to police by the community.
