Splashes of colour are set to rain across Dalyellup College oval for the Dalyellup School Community Colour Explosion Fun Run on October 20.

Colour run committee chairwoman Gemma Picken said Tuart Forest Primary School, Dalyellup College and Dalyellup Primary School P and Cs had come together to raise money for each of their schools.

“All of the profits we walk away with will be going back into our schools, to put towards things such as undercover walk ways, playgrounds and upgrades to older playgrounds,” Mrs Picken said.

“It is all about supporting our local public schools – the funding from the government gets cut down every year so being able to give back to our schools is just great.

“It is creating a culture that we can work together as a community and come together as separate schools to raise money and provide an event for the community.”

Mrs Picken said the day would include plenty of activities for the entire family.

“We have obstacles throughout the course, food and drinks vans, performances from Jazz Attack, X5 Parkour and Gravity,” she said.

“Each person who registers will receive a free headband and sunnies.”

Mrs Picken said there was still time to register and encouraged everyone from the wider community to participate.

The Colour Explosion Fun Run run will kick off at 9am.
