Daffodil Day blooms bright for cancer fight

South Western Times

There will be plenty of yellow in Bunbury’s CBD on Friday 25 August as the city’s Cancer Council WA staff and volunteers get ready for the organisation’s flagship fundraising event.

The South West’s Cancer Council WA staff and volunteers will dress up in yellow to help raise money for Daffodil Day.

The day will raise money to help fund cancer research, advocacy, prevention programs and support services.

Cancer Council WA South West regional education officer Shenae Norris said a street appeal would take place in Victoria Street from 10am to 2pm when members of the public would be able to buy daffodils and merchandise while also supporting the organisation.

Miss Norris said Dot’s Place staff and volunteers would dress in yellow and support vehicles going up and down the street could also get a small makeover too.

Daffodil Day donations can be made at daffodilday.com.au.
