Dalyellup house fire: Police investigate suspicious blaze that destroyed home in South West

The arson squad have been called in to assist Bunbury Detectives investigating a house fire which gutted a Dalyellup home on Monday night, which is believed to have been deliberately lit. Police and the Department of Fire and Emergency Services were called to the home on Sapphire Road in Dalyellup after the blaze started about 1.30am. No-one was home at the time. Upon arrival, firefighters found the single story home, near Hornibrook Road, fully ablaze and it took around 40 minutes to bring it under control. Police say the fire — which caused extensive damage to the home — is currently deemed as suspicious. Fire crews were still at the scene on Tuesday morning mopping up, where several police crews and the arson squad were also attending.
