The South West Football League colts team have begun their CBH Group Country Colts Championships defence in style, with two big wins at Rushton Park today.

It was a strong first up performance for the SWFL which set up their push for a grand final, when they defeated the Great Southern Storm by 42 points.

The SWFL booted seven goals in the first half before going on to win 10.8 (68) to 4.2 (26).

The SWFL kicked the first three goals of the game within the first few minutes, with Eli Hill (three goals) and Malek Wallam (three goals) causing plenty of damage up forward.

Storm player Nelson Kent kicked his teams first goal, but the SWFL were not about to let up and soon had a dominant 23-point win.

By the half-time break the SWFL had a strong 21-point lead, but the reigning champions were not done yet.

They flexed their muscles in the second half, kicking three goals to one to setup the big victory.

The SWFL continued their fine form with a 23-point win over the Peel Football-Netball League in a re-match of last year’s grand final.

Peel were kept goalless in the first half, as the SWFL once again dominate to win 6.4 (40) to 2.5 (17).

Wallam was again fantastic with two goals, while Taine Williams also kicked a couple.

Collie Eagle Liam Reuben was best on ground in the fantastic victory.
