Bunbury MLA Don Punch will hold a series of community meetings through the first half of the year as the midway point of the government’s four-year term approaches.

“I think this is the perfect time to go out and ask the community how we are going and what else needs to be done,” Mr Punch said.

“No local member can be effective unless they hear regularly from the people they represent so I am looking forward to the conversations these meetings will generate.

“Community input is vital if we are to have good government that responds to the needs and aspirations of the people we represent.”

The first of seven meetings will take place on February 9 and the final meeting will be held in the first week of May.

Infrastructure, health, law and order, community services, education, environment and sport will be the focuses of the different meetings.

“I hope people take advantage of this opportunity to come along to share their ideas with me and hear the ideas of others in the community,” he said.

Those interested in attending the meetings can do so by contacting Mr Punch’s office on 9791 3636 or by emailing bunbury@mp.wa.gov.au.
