Donnybrook Balingup Ratepayers and Residents Association set to begin work on new multimillion-dollar project

The founding members of the Donnybrook Balingup Ratepayers and Residents Association are set to begin work on a new multimillion-dollar community project. Brad Fowler and Neville Fry — the man behind the Donnybrook Apple Fun Park — have received approval from the DBRRA executive to begin work on an exciting new multimillion-dollar community project, which they said would benefit the Shire and wider region. The project is still in its infancy but aims to develop a new building to showcase the history and arts of the region, with the Donnybrook Historical Society joining in to make it a reality. DBRRA said a steering committee was being formed and conceptual designs were already arriving. “Although a site has not yet been secured, the preferred site would be in the heart of our Donnybrook Heritage Precinct,” DBRRA said in a statement. “There will be opportunities for other stakeholders and community groups to become part of this centre. “And whilst we are in the early stages of planning, the excitement in the community is already building.” Mr Fry, from Crendon Machinery, built and funded the Donnybrook Apple Fun Park and is set to provide financial support for the project. DBRRA said community members would be the ones to decide on the preferred site and building design subject to budget and availability.
