Augusta-Margaret River and Donnybrook advanced deeper into the 2018 SWFL finals series, following two captivating semi-final clashes on Sunday.

At VC Mitchell Park, the Dons held all the answers against Bunbury from the opening bounce and comfortably recorded a 9.5 (59) to 4.9 (33) second semi-final victory.

With the win, the Dons secured a direct path to the grand final.

Things were tighter at Glen Huon Reserve, with Augusta-Margaret River holding on for a pulsating five point win over Eaton Boomers in the first-semi final.

Trailing by 20 points at the final change, the home side charged home with five last quarter goals — however the Hawks managed to lock the ball up in the closing seconds and relish their 12.15 (87) to 12.10 (82) triumph.

The Hawks now face Bunbury in Sunday’s league preliminary final at Hands Oval.

Earlier in the afternoon, Harvey Bulls ensured a women’s grand final rematch with Bunbury after recording a stirring 11 point victory over South Bunbury.
