Similar to the women’s competition, the men’s South West Hockey League competition has kept punters in suspense heading into the final round.

Boyanup and Marist fought out a 2-2 draw with Ryan McGeoch scoring a double for the Blacks against Alby Lawrence and Matthew Barbetti for the Blues.

The stalemate keeps both in the hunt for second spot behind champions Wests.

TownSouth, Associates, Collie and Exies all went into last week’s round with one point separating them.

Exies sprung a surprise with a handy 4-0 win of Collie which put them in the top four heading into the last round — while former Classic League player Brett Dancer slotted a double for Wests in their 3-1 win over Associates.

Wests host Marist on Saturday at 3pm, while Associates entertain TownSouth later in the afternoon.

Exies travel to Boyanup on Sunday.
