VideoDetective Sergeant James Gaunt of Bunbury Detectives discussed recent arrests they'd made.

Two juveniles have been charged with a string of offences by South West Police after a month-long operation in the region.

Speaking to the media this afternoon, Detective Sgt. James Gaunt revealed police had recovered stolen property and drugs as part of a Operation Blue Plane.

He confirmed that two people had been arrested and charged with a number of offences on Saturday, after a short pursuit by police while operating a stolen vehicle.

It is believed some of the offences could be linked to the recent commercial burglary series inquiry.

Their next court appearance has been set for a later date.

Detective Sgt Gaunt said another suspect was under investigation following a seizure of several drugs – including 81g of methamphetamine – which were located by Australind Police under the use of search warrant.

“Australind Police executed a search warrant back on December 19,” he said. “As a result of that search warrant, items linked to our commercial burglary series were located and seized.

“We are conducting inquiries now into how this person came to have those items.”

Detective Sgt Gaunt encouraged the community to contact Crime Stoppers if they had any additional information regarding Operation Blue Plane findings and that a reward could be offered if information lead to an arrest.

“There are still people of interest out there who we are still making enquiries into,” he said.
