Eaton woman charged for allegedly breaching quarantine to attend a birthday party

South Western Times

A woman from Eaton has been charged after allegedly attending a birthday party while she was supposed to be in quarantine after flying in from Victoria.

Police allege that on June 30, the 29-year-old travelled to WA from Victoria and on arrival at the airport, was issued Self-Quarantine direction, requiring her to isolate within her suitable address for 14 days.

It will be alleged the woman attended a birthday party and socialised with a number of people, many of which were elderly, on July 11.

Police became aware of the alleged quarantine breach and the woman will face court on one count of failing to comply with a direction.
