Eight hour stand-off in Glen Iris

AN EIGHT hour stand-off in Glen Iris between Bunbury Police and a 23 year old Queensland man ended peacefully in the early hours of this morning.

Just before 7pm last night, Bunbury police had attempted to stop the man’s vehicle in order to execute an arrest warrant in Glen Iris.

Police negotiated him down peacefully at 3am.

The man then allegedly evaded police before climbing onto the roof of the Glen Iris house.

Police surrounded the house and negotiators were called in.

After nearly eight hours the man was brought down peacefully and taken into custody at 3.10am.
