A weekend spent driving the South West in a new luxury car will be on offer at a unique women’s fundraising event on Sunday.

The Girls Just Wanna Have Fun for the South West Women’s Refuge event will be held at Vat 2 and will raise much-needed money for the refuge.

Bunbury Jaguar and Land Rover has generously donated one of its vehicles for one lucky woman at the event to win for a weekend.

But perhaps the biggest attraction is the range of local small businesses on display at the event.

A selection of stalls from businesses such as Imogino, Amity & Unity, Bahru, Minx, Hussh Body and Soul and Salon Sugar will be on display.

Vat 2 owner Jenny Spencer said the event was a great opportunity for women to get-together with friends for a good cause.

“The girls (business owners) came to me and said we need to do something to showcase our local products,” Ms Spencer said.

“And it made sense to get a worthy organisation on board and raise some money.

“So they’re all local businesses and part of the ticket sales will go towards the women’s refuge.

“Hopefully some more women will come along – it’s going to be great fun.”

The event will start at 3.30pm until 6.30pm and will include a glass of champagne on arrival and nibbles.

There are no door sales so women interested need to contact Vat 2 prior to the event.
