A bushfire advice warning has been issued as a blaze burns out of control and unpredictable in Donnybrook.

Department of Fire and Emergency Services says there is no threat to lives and homes, but there is a lot of smoke in the area and the fire is moving in a southerly direction.

The fire was reported about 3pm today with a warning in place for people between Morgan and Bentley roads.

Firefighters are on the scene.

Residents are being warned to stay alert, close all windows and doors and turn off evaporative air conditioners but keep water running through the system if possible.

There are no road closures in place at the moment, but drivers are being told to drive with extreme care with headlights on.
