The Federal candidates for Forrest were announced yesterday with voters set to order their preferences from one to eight.

Greens candidate Nerilee Boshammer will top the ballot paper followed by Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party candidate Mark McCall.

Forrest MHR Nola Marino will sit third on the list above Pauline Hanson’s One Nation candidate Kalven Jamieson and local Independent hopeful Alexander Marsden.

Ian Molyneux from the Western Australia Party will appear next, above Australian Labor Party candidate Wayne Sanford while Dale Bromley will represent the United Australia Party as the final name.

More than 16 million people (16,424,248) have enrolled to vote, pushing the national enrolment rate to a record 96.8 per cent.

Almost 100,000 additions were made to the electoral role in the week before enrolments closed.

“A national enrolment rate of 96.8 per cent was for a long time thought to be unattainable,” electoral commissioner Tom Rogers said.
