Gallery: Exhibition focus on Japan
The colour and culture of Japan was celebrated at Maker and Co. on February 17 for the opening of A Nod To Japan Exhibition, as part of Bunbury Fringe.
Japan’s Perth Consul General Tatsuo Hirayama attended the exhibition that showcased entries celebrating Bunbury’s sister city relationship with Setagaya.
Mr Hirayama and his wife consul Atsushi Matsuo were judges in the competition and also awarded the Consulate General prizes as well.
The art competition winner was Terry Madwich for his charcoal drawing Family. Sue Collins was runner-up with Natalie Rykers in third place.
Consulate General prizes were awarded to Tatiana Wright, Olivia Park and Megan Panizza.
Drummers from Taiko Do WA opened the exhibition with a dynamic performance.
