Gallery: Thousands raised at outdoor movie night

South Western Times

More than 500 people cosied up with bean bags and blankets at the Bunbury Recreation Ground on Saturday to enjoy a screening of The Greatest Showman while raising money for Conquer Cystic Fibrosis South West.

Organised by Brooke McKitterick from McKitterick Chartered Accountants, the sold-out event raised more than $7000 for the cause, boosted by an additional donation of $3000 from the Bunbury Runners Club collected from the Australia Day Fun Run.

The volunteer-run organisation raises money for research to extend the life expectancy of the 3300 Australians living with the disorder. Tarryn Barrett from Conquer Cystic Fibrosis South West said the charity was “amazed by the support”.
