Harvey Shire endorse tourism strategy to unify South West

Briana FioreSouth Western Times

A tourism collaboration is under way which would see a sub-regional tourism strategy unify the South West region.

It would group the Shires of Dardanup, Collie, Harvey, Capel, Donnybrook-Balingup and Boyup Brook as well as the City of Bunbury, in order to develop a combined tourism brand as part of the Regional Tourism Development Strategy.

An extension until June 30, 2020 for the Memorandum of Understanding was endorsed by the Harvey Shire Council on Tuesday.

The MOU was developed to unite the management of tourism development, marketing and infrastructure.
