The team at QUIT Bunbury Speedway is bringing yet another Olympic champion to the South West, with Anna Meares to be the special guest at a luncheon in May.

To be held at the Quality Hotel Lighthouse on May 19, the Luncheon with a True Champion returns for its second edition.

Meares is a two-time cycling Olympic Games gold medallist, winning the 500m time trial in Athens in 2004 and the sprint at the London 2012 Games.

The 33-year-old has retired from the sport after competing at this year’s Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games, winning bronze in the Keirin.

Meares was also given the illustrious role of flag bearer at this year’s games.
