Holidays about to get exciting in Dalyellup
Children from the Dalyellup area will have the chance to splash into some school holiday fun next week.
On Tuesday from 10am to 2pm at Maidment Lakes parklands a slippery slide, dunk-machine and water war zone will be on offer for all ages to enjoy at the Summer Splashdown event, hosted by Satterley.
Community development officer Tessa Phipps said the free event was about bringing the community out to enjoy some fun activities.
“It is just some gratuitous school holiday fun for every one to enjoy,” she said.
“They have been very successful in Perth, so we thought we should bring it down to Dalyellup.
“There will be some commercial food vendors and the surf lifesaving club will be patrolling.”
Ms Phipps said community groups were invited to express their interest in providing a sausage sizzle and drinks stand at the event by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
“It could be a great fundraising opportunity,” she said.
Residents can also look forward to a movie in the park, Finding Dory, on Saturday, February 18 from 7.30pm.
