Bunbury residents who have a working dog with star quality may want to nominate them for a talent search.

Australian pipe fittings manufacturer Philmac is looking for a blue heeler to be the new face of its brand ambassador Bluey.

Philmac managing director Mark Nykiel said they needed a dog that represented their brand values of trust, reliability and hardwork.

Philmac is also looking for working dogs of any breed to feature in its 2018 Philmac Australian Working Dog Calendar.

Nominations for both searches close on October 1.
