Hollywood talent Isla Fisher will be trading in the big screen for a taste of glitz and glamour in the South West as one of the jury members for Australia’s premier film festival.

Best known for her roles in Wedding Crashers, Confessions of a Shopaholic and Now You See Me, Fisher has been living out lockdown in Sydney since wrapping her latest project Wolf Like Me — a romantic comedy limited series co-starring Josh Gad.

Now the Australian actor will be stepping into a new role as she joins the jury for the CinefestOZ Film Festival to help decide which film will take home the prestigious $100,000 Film Prize.

CinefestOZ chair Helen Shervington said this year’s jury shared a fantastic background of diverse industry knowledge and experiences.

“We’re thrilled to have such a mix of professionals on the jury this year,” she said.

“We pride ourselves on having confident and experienced creatives take on the responsibility of awarding the Film Prize winner, which this year will certainly be a tough decision.”

The winner will be announced at the closing gala night on August 28 at Orana Cinemas in Busselton.
