Judges deliberate over classy field of fashion
There were familiar faces, fresh faces and style galore at the XXXX Gold Bunbury Cup Fashions on the Field on Sunday.
Men and women from across the State dressed to impress with more than 25 women and five men taking to the stage.
CM Model Management and Fashions on the Field coordinator Tamara Dimov said the standard was as high as ever.
“All of the contestants really fit the brief with a lot of outstanding entrants, the judges deliberated a lot,” she said.
Fashions on the Field regular Jo Bovell was crowned the winner of the women’s event while last-minute entrant Trevor Lindsay proved style was not bounded by age.
“The winning outfits were outstanding,” Ms Dimov said.
“Classy, polished... everything Fashions on the Field should be.
“They were both very deserving winners.”
Mrs Bovell looked resplendent in a custom made vintage blue frock and matching hat in what she described as a nod to traditional race wear.
“It’s amazing when you put so much effort in,” she said.
“It takes about six months for an outfit like that to come together, it’s nice to be recognised for the work of art.”
Men’s event winner Mr Lindsay was dressed to impressed and looked sharp in his charcoal suit, blood red hat, tie and matching umbrella.
