For children and parents who are keen to either participate or watch some quality representative rugby league on Saturday morning, be sure to head to Dalyellup.

Organised by NRL WA, the South West “Gala Day” will be held at the East Dalyellup Pavilion from 11am.

NRL WA officials have visited the region in recent months and are committed to growing the game in the South West.

Along with a “Come and Try Day” for children to learn rugby league skills, two representative matches have been confirmed — the under-18s Danielle Parker Cup clash between the South West Dolphins and Southern Pride (11am) and the John Moore Shield under-17 boys match also between the Dolphins and Pride (12pm).

With the West Coast Pirates having a bye in the New South Wales Rugby League’s SG Ball competition, some Pirates players could play in the 17s match.
