Kate FieldingSouth Western Times

The new-look Koombana Bay will be officially re-opened during an event jam packed with an impressive line-up of activities at the waterfront on Saturday.

The Koombana Foreshore Festival will mark the completion of the multi-million dollar revitalisation project after several months of construction.

A concert, twilight sailing, market stalls, food trucks and beach cricket with the Perth Scorchers will be among festivities at the family-friendly and free event.

The long-awaited and iconic footbridge will also be unveiled with a switching on of the lights. The festival starts at 4pm and runs until 7pm.
