The brightly coloured talent of a former Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School student is set to make a splash on the international stage in California next month.

Fashion designer and creative director Kate Hannah will showcase her colourful and sustainable clothes label at LA Fashion Week.

The 25-year-old Perth-based designer got the call up after her label P’JUNK caught the eye of fashion week organisers at Eco Fashion Week Australia last year.

Ms Hannah said she was thrilled to share the “colourful world of P’JUNK” with an international audience.

“As a young creative, it’s a huge honour to have my work attract international attention and I’m so excited to see what other wonderful opportunities come from this showcase and my trip to Los Angeles,” she said.

“I’m looking forward to acting as an ambassador for our wonderful Western Australian fashion industry while in America and showing them that WA is a great place for fashion, style and creativity.”

The trip is just the latest achievement of the Bunbury alumni after holding her first solo exhibition in Northbridge and featuring at numerous fashion shows, including Telstra Perth Fashion Festivals.

Ms Hannah designs her pieces with a sustainable and ethical mindset.
