Lodge meets all rating rules
Tuia Lodge in Donnybrook received the highest accreditation rating after an unannounced site audit last month.
The Donnybrook residential aged care facility was audited by the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission which has awarded it a three-year accreditation rating. Accreditation is based on a facilities compliance with legislation of which all eight standards and 40 requirements were met by the lodge.
Donnybrook-Balingup shire president Brian Piesse said the outcome demonstrated that despite challenging environments the facility operated at a high level.
“This is an outstanding result for a small provider and all staff need to be congratulated not only on their performance on the days of the audit but for the significant way in which they have contributed,” he said.
