Magazine pays tribute
The Zonta Club of Bunbury along with more than 100 women gathered at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre on Saturday to celebrate a cinematic experience and the launch of the 100 Women Magazine for Zonta’s century celebrations.
In November, 100 years ago, a group of women got together with a passion to inspire more women to help them realise greater equality and the group has since grown globally.
Zonta Bunbury president Beth Talbot said the day was a big success.
“I’m am very proud of the committee and especially Sarah Jane (Bilston) because this was her idea and it is her determination and enterprise that pushed it forward, but I’m really pleased that is was so successful,” Mrs Talbot said.
“These special local things as well as the news are what local newspapers are about and we are grateful for the South Western Times.”
The women who attended the event enjoyed several short films and an afternoon tea.
