The arrival of spring heralds the start of nesting season and parks and wildlife workers are warning South West residents to look out for swooping birds such as magpies.

The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions Parks and Wildlife Service says magpies nest between August and December and the birds can become aggressive when trying to protect their eggs and young from perceived threats.
