Busselton will be looking to sneak their way back into finals contention after falling just short to reigning premiers Bunbury in the 2020 grand final rematch last weekend. The Magpies will be returning to home turf at Sir Stewart Bovell Park where they will go head to head with Donnybrook. Busselton sits in sixth place on the ladder with a 6-5 record after narrowly losing to the Bulldogs 5.5 (35) to 5.2 (32) in tough conditions at PC Payne Park, which saw them fall from fourth. Donnybrook will make another bid to quit the wooden spoon position after falling to Eaton Boomers at VC Mitchell Park at the weekend. Last Sunday’s downpour saw the match turn into a low-scoring, territory-based affair with the Boomers winning 5.6 (36) to 5.2 (32). While the Dons sit below Eaton on percentage, a win could see them start to make their way towards the middle of the pack. Despite Donnybrook’s loss in form in recent weeks, the Dons will hold the historical advantage over Busselton having won five of their last six meetings, including three at Sir Stewart Bovell Park.
